 Questions & Answers

  • How do I book a workshop & pay for a workshop
  • Send me an email in the first instance to confirm your interest, this is followed by an detailed pdf explaining the workshop in full detail. On your confirmation a electronic invoice is sent to cover the deposit. A final invoice is sent 28 days before the workshop to cover the balance.

  • Workshops booked within the 28 days are to be paid for at time of booking

  • Are the workshops for quite experienced photographers
  • Not at all, the best way to get to know about digital photography & editing is at the very beginning of the photography journey. It will pay for itself by giving you a structure to work to. Plus the first real portfolio you make will be on the workshop, it will be a benchmark for judging your ongoing progress
  •
  • Do I need a DLSR or will a compact be okay.
  • Ideally to get the best from the workshop an DSLR is preferable but not necessary. I have a loan workshop Canon EOS5D plus L.Series Lenses that your free to use. This can help you evaluate a system before you invest in one. And its on a free loan, along with a manfrotto tripod and a Lee graduated filter system.

  • Are the workshops aimed at Landscape Photography
  • The workshops are about photography in the broadest sense, a typical workshop will cover several themes unless you want to target a particular style. If so, we can structure the workshop around that style or subject.

  • Is using photoshop, either the full version or elements, essential in order to obtain good images.

  •  Yes you need to understand the digital workflow to get the best from your DSLR. That's why I teach it alongside the photography, its essential learning from day one. The camera is the start of the journey, not the final destination.

  • What if I am experienced in digital photography & Photoshop, will I still benefit from a workshop.
  • The short answer is yes, the longer answer is how do you judge your experience. Working alongside me we can work on joint project, in locations new to you, on themes that may new to you and on editing techniques that will be new to you
